About Me

Way back when...

Like many teens, my first "job" was babysitting. I went on to become a preschool teacher and loved working with the kids!

Even though I'm no longer teaching (except my own kids #homeschooling), the experience I gained as ringleader to a circus of ten 4 and 5 year olds was priceless.

I've always enjoyed working with families and love the authenticity and enthusiasm of children.

When I officially opened Victoria Christine Photography in 2011 it should come as no surprise that after getting my feet wet in many different genres from wedding to landscape photography, I eventually decided to focus exclusively on family and children's portraiture.

My family

My husband and I met in 2014 and were married 2 years to the day from our first "I love you" in September of 2017.

We are and always will be romantics at heart!

I still can't believe that we get to live this life together, and that God has given us two beautiful little boys to love, too.

Some of my favorites:

Nature. The sound of birds in spring. or water trickling in a creek. And water. Creeks, the ocean, the river, a lake. I love water! I'm so obsessed my last kid was born in it (partly joking, but he really was). Every year we camp along the Shenandoah river!

Animals. This one really breaks my heart sometimes because I'm also allergic to most. But I still dream of having a homestead with a few goats and chickens like I grew up with!

Reading. It's hard to find time for much of it these days, but I love to read!

Journaling. I've journaled since I was 9-10! I have dozens of journals.

Food. Indian, Mexican, Italian, Asian... the more authentic the better. I will eat *almost* anything I'm served, hot or even cold (because motherhood). Also I like beef jerky so much that my husband stuffs it in my Christmas stocking every year and now it's tradition.

Call the Midwife. Look, maybe it's also partly because I was born at home with a midwife, but I watched this show and then had a midwife for both my births.
