Summer Photoshoot at Blandy

If you've not yet walked the beautiful fields and trails at our state arboretum, you're missing out. It is hands down the most popular/requested location among my clients, with good reason! No two sessions look the same because there are so many options available. It's accessible and open to the public year 'round, has bathrooms and plenty of parking... and did I mention it's gorgeous?! The staff and volunteers do a phenomenal job at maintaining the grounds. It also changes seasonally so what's in bloom (or showing off) from one month to the next means there are new discoveries every time. Whether for your next picnic, that once-in-a-lifetime proposal, or a family photoshoot–I highly, highly recommend this gorgeous location!

And, I might add, this particular family really shone on Blandy's beautiful backdrop.

Meet the family affectionately known as "the sushis"

There's a whole backstory to the name, which is not technically their last name. But I'll leave the story to them!

To know them is to love them. And I don't say that about just anyone! This family is well-loved by many and have become dear friends of my own family over the last nine years or so. Our kids are friends, and their older ones are so patient and sweet with my little ones.

It was an honor to photograph their family and I hope they love and cherish these photos forever!

Side note, this isn't the first time I've photographed twins but I do believe it's the first time I've photographed *identical* twins. If I look closely and study their faces I can tell them apart, but these boys are rarely still long enough for me to do so! They're a hoot. Scroll to the bottom to see more of their antics, and more photos from this lovely summer session!
